Elektra has released its 13th CD, a Christmas recording entitled Still. It features sacred and secular Christmas music by Elektra and guest artists Lorna McGhee (flute), David Owen (oboe), and the Borealis String Quartet. The disc weaves together familiar carols in outstanding arrangements, including Still, Still, Still, Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence, Deck the Hall, and Noël Nouvelet with contemporary compositions by Canadian, American, British, Swiss, and Norwegian composers. The latter is the world premiere recording of the SSAA arrangement of Northern Lights by Ola Gjeilo.
