Guiding Statements


Elektra’s mandate is “to inspire and lead in the choral art form through excellence in performance and the creation, exploration and celebration of women’s repertoire.”

Under the leadership of Artistic Director, Morna Edmundson, Elektra inspires a strong following through consistent excellence in performance, a rich palette of sound, and open and professional presentation of who we are and what we do.

Why we need your support

Elektra Women’s Choir is a not-for-profit charitable organization that depends heavily on ticket sales, annual contributions from corporations and individuals, and government grants to deliver its music.

Elektra provides outstanding benefits not only to its singers, but also to its audiences and communities here at home, nationally and worldwide.

To maintain this level of artistic integrity we rely heavily on individual donations, for it is only through the generous support of our donors that we can continue our tradition of creative excellence.

Gifts of over $25 will receive an official tax receipt for income tax purposes and will be recognized in Elektra’s concert programs and on the website throughout the year.
