Elektra takes a deep dive into the human condition, exploring despair, hope, love, solidarity, boldness, and more with Humanity. This concert features the music of Zanaida Robles, Claudio Monteverdi, Marie-Claire Saindon, Libby Larsen, and more, with a focus on recent works by Canadian composer Laura Hawley. Commissioned works by Hawley, Toronto-based Palestinian-Jordanian composer Natalie Fasheh and Ukrainian composer Iryna Aleksiychuk round out this thought-provoking program. Enriching the listening experience are photographs by South Hazelton photographer Elizabeth Larsen. Joining Elektra for part of this program will be the singers of Elektra’s Mira Youth Mentorship Program.

The health and safety of our singers, staff, volunteers, and audience members is of the utmost importance to us. We are following the guidance provided by the Province of British Columbia. Elektra may require audience members to wear masks (provided) while in the concert venue.
Elektra staff and volunteers will be onsite to welcome you, and we ask that you kindly follow their direction and guidance at all times.
