Canadian photographer Mike Grandmaison is known for images that capture the scale, beauty, and fragility of the Canadian landscape. In Elektra’s upcoming concert If the Earth Could Sing, his photography becomes part of the performance itself. Projected throughout the program, his images create a visual world that moves alongside the music — expanding the concert’s sense of place, atmosphere, and emotional reach.
This multimedia program brings together new Canadian choral works that respond to the climate crisis through music, poetry, and image. Grandmaison’s photographs help make those themes immediate and visible, inviting audiences not only to hear the music, but to see the landscapes at the heart of the program.
