Radiant Dawn

As winter gives way to spring, Radiant Dawn invites audiences into a world of sunrise, renewal, and new beginnings.

Featuring acclaimed harpist Vivien Chen, the program traces a musical journey through light in many forms: the Indian and Western traditions woven through Gustav Holst’s Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda, first performed on Elektra’s inaugural concert 40 years ago; the world premiere of a new commission by acclaimed Canadian composer, vocalist, and world/fusion artist Suba Sankaran; and contemporary works by Shruti Rajasekar, Reena Esmail, Katerina Gimon, Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton, and others.

Together, these voices celebrate light as awakening, connection, and the promise of a new day.
