Both hosts offer up some of their desert island pieces including Monteverdi's 'Beatus Vir' performed by Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal and William Kraushaar's 'Ni De L’est, Ni de L’Ouest' performed by the Choir of The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul. We also feature a LIVE concert from the BBC Proms Festival. John Eliot Gardiner makes his 60th BBC Proms appearance with his Monteverdi Choir and English Baroque Soloists in glorious renditions of J.S. Bach's 'Christ lag in Todesbanden' and G.F. Handel's 'Dixit Dominus'. These baroque masterpieces were written when both composers were 22 years of age. A LIVE concert in Covid times in front of an enthusiastic audience is an episode you won't want to miss!
