Women’s choir SSAA and bass drum. This new work was written for Elektra to perform at Tapestry International 2015. The composer played the ominous and, ultimately, forceful bass drum part. Find the biggest drum you can! The opening section features aleatoric whispering and singing that builds a sense of tension, then introduces a driving ostinato in the alto with overtone singing. Layering soprano lines build the intensity until the final plea “Salva me!”
