Originally from the musical Babes in Arms, this delightful song with all its backhanded compliments is now a beloved jazz standard.
Conductor Notes:
SSAA a cappella. A very sweet arrangement with lots of room for rubato. I first heard this by the wonderful women’s choir Voci Nobili, under their director Maria Gamborg Helbekkmo. Maria is conducting Elektra on our recording of this piece. We used a soloist for measures 16 – 21.
