Performed in Concert

Program Notes:

In one of Grieg’s most famous melodies we hear the poem of 19th century Norwegian poet Aasmund Vinje. An old man, sensing that his life is nearing its end, extolls the beauty of the green meadows and budding vines, the rushing streams and larks’ songs heralding the arrival of his last spring.

Conductor Notes:

SSAA a cappella. A simply beautiful choral arrangement of this classic Grieg solo song.
