Dum sol redux ad vesperum,

Rebus nitorem detrahit,

Nos hic manentes intimo,

Ex corde vote fundimus.

Tu dux ad astra et semita,

Sis meta nostris cordibus,

Sis lacrimarum gaudium,

Sis dulce vitae praemium.Amen.

Domine, probasti me et cognocisti me.

Domine, exaudi orationem meam.

Et clamor meus ad e veniat. Alleluia!

Ad te levavi animam meam. Amen.

The sun, returned to evening,

Dusks all the twilight air.

We, lingering here before you,

Pour out our heartfelt prayer.

Thou guide to heaven, and Thou the way.

Be Thou the goal where our hearts tend;

Be Thou our joy ‘mid tears; we pray

Be Thou our life’s sweet prize and end. Amen.

Lord, Thou hast searched me and known me.

Lord, hear my prayer.

And let my cry come unto Thee. Alleluia!

To Thee have I lifted up my soul. Amen.
